A Crossroads

Have you ever come to a crossroads in your life?

Well, I'm not sure if you would classify my situation as a crossroads, but I certainly do.

For the past few months it seems as if a lot of people (both IRL and online) do not care or simply take an interest in my art. I know I'm improving, even I can see that. But when I was drawing last year and at about January of this year everyone in my family was all practically gaga over my art, saying how good I was doing and where my 'talent' was going. But now... Even with the amount of improvement I've had, the people I show my art to just seem to shrug and say, "Oh, okay." as if my art is just something of a possible interest I;m showing them, like a slightly boring newspaper article. And because of this, I feel as if no one likes to see my art at all. I've become so unmotivated that it kinda hurts, and I've actually cried the past couple of nights because I love to do my art, but I've become so unmotivated and I feel as if no one wants to look at it because they're tired of seeing what I create.

But lately, with Drumline Camp going on, I find... Well I find that I've found much more satisfaction and enjoyment in the music part of my abilities. People seem to enjoy y musical talents more than my artistic talents, and... Its kind of confusing for me. I've basically wanted to give up on my art in these past couple of months but yet I've been wanting to work really hard on my music... I'm confused, and its a decision I honestly don't want to have to make, but I don't know anyway to get back into my art.

Usagi Kaede

Main Time Period: Present

From: The Spirit Realm

Height: 5' 9"

Classification: Channeler

Body build: Slim, hardly any muscle at all, with long, lanky limbs.

Age: 21 years and 3 months, not able to physically age anymore

Species: Spirit

Personality: She's very shy, and when she opens up you'll find that Usagi is very spastic and accident prone, often relying on Ronin to keep ehr from hurting herself and others from hurting her. She likes to help, although she often ends up getting in the way, leading Ronin to be a little frustrated towards her sometimes.

Physical Description: She has silver hair down a little past her earlobes, and a moon tattoo on her forehead leading down into a few black swirls. This marks hers as a part of the Spirit Realm, and she has a purple horn off the right side of her head with a little star on the end, marking her as a Channeler. She can't wear clothes, so she has blueish pink clouds swirling around her chest and hips to cover her breasts and privates.

Bg Story: She doesn't remember any of her life as a human, before she died and passed on. She just remembers waking up, as if from a dream, in this strange world full of mystical looking people. She had to learn how to speak all over again, had to re-learn the alphabet and her numbers and mathematics, almost like being born all over agaiu. Almost, but she knew the basics, such as how to eat even though she doesn't need to. She has to feed off of an Essence, which is part of a person's soul, and she does this by kissing them.

Present life: She took on Ronin as her Protector because she saw the quality of kindness in him, which is very important to her, and even though he doesn't often show it, Usagi knows its there. According to the laws and limitations of the Spirit Realm, she can feed off the Essence of her Protector, but she has only done so once, preferring not to feed from him as it won't last her as long as another being's Essence and it makes her feel all fuzzy and numb, almost as if she's drunk.

Ronin Kaede

Main Time Period: Present

From: The Spirit Realm

Height: 6' 1"

Classification: Protector

Body build: Tall, and muscular, but without much meat to his bones.

Age: Stuck at 23 years and 11 months, cannot physically age any farther.

Species: Human Spirit

Personality: Ronin is usually a very laid back, casual type of guy. He likes to joke around (even though most of his jokes may fall flat) and he can be a serious smart-ass. Though if you threaten Usagi, (even if its just a non-serious playful verbal threat) he will be on you in an instant, ready to gut you.
As far as education goes, he certainly isn't a bum, but he isn't a genius either

Physical Description: He has shoulder length light brown hair that holds gingerish-red highlights in them. His eyes are a dark autumn orange tone, shining and usually very friednly unless he is protecting Usagi or is not amused by your idiotic humor. Under his right eye is a red tattoo that shows him to those of the Spirit Realm to be a Protector. He usually wears brightly colored, neon clothes along with a scarf.

Bg Story: He likes not to think about it, Usagi is the only one who knows fully what happened.

Present life: Forever frozen at the age of a month away form 24, he is a physical being, but not so much in the sense that he's 'real'. When he was killed, his Spirit was starting to be channeled into the Spirit Realm by a Channeler by the name of Usagi. She sensed some redeeming quality within him, and decided to take him as her Protector. Of course, he had to learn as he went, since no one Channeler needs the same kind of Protection. Usagi took his last name, as many Channelers do when they find their Protector, referring to him as brother' and Ronin referring to her as 'sister'. There is no sexual occurrences between them, they simply have a familial relationship.

Face Washing

I was curious, what products do you guys use to keep your faces clean? (Btw, if a guy washes heir face, go ahead and jump in too.)

I use water, f.y.i. Facial Scrub, Natural Science (I think this is the brand. -.- ) Clearing Tonic and a white rag. ^_^

Then I use Orajel for my Cold Sore. (Yeah, I get them quite often, and I have no clue what causes them)
